Effect of Cognitive Therapeutic Exercise for Balance and Gait of Stroke Patients

Abstract
Objective: The study is to figure out how cognitive therapeutic exercise on pelvic limbs affect the balance and gait of stroke patients.

Methods: The research target was randomly divided into two groups: 40 patients selected according to the selection criteria, and the cognitive therapeutic exercise was conducted for 30 minutes 5 times a week for the group which the exercise had been applied for 8 weeks, and the same time and interval was applied to the target group using a proprioception program. BBS, TUG and arthresthesia tolerance were used to evaluate on the balance.

Results: BBS, TUG and arthresthesia tolerance before and after arbitration were measured, compared and analyzed. As the result of comparing the amount of change before and after arbitration of the cognitive therapeutic exercise and the proprioception program, the both groups showed a statistically significant result (p<0.05).

Conclusion : The cognitive therapeutic exercise was effective on the improvement of balance and gait of stroke patients, and I believe in the future, it could be an important reference to approach curing pelvic limbs.
